Bob’s Burgers Season 1 Episode 1 (Human Flesh)

Bob enlists in a night school art class to better his chances of securing a spot on the drawing wall of fame. After one too many trips to the principal's office, Tina has to transport Zeke to the school office because he is going to be suspended for trying to steal the school mascot suit. Written by Fox Publicity

On the brink of being promoted to the highest rank at Wagstaff Elementary, Tina must transport a troublemaker extraordinaire to the principal's office. Believing his grandmother is doing poorly, troublemaker extraordinaire Zeke attempts to steal the school mascot suit.

Sadness, like Tina’s last name Belcher, is something of a given with any episode of Bob’s Burgers. It comes as no surprise that this penultimate episode begins with a dollop of unrequited love, in the form of Tina’s ongoing desire to become Hall Monitor Manatee — she needs to get Zeke to the principal’s office because he’s going to be suspended for trying to steal the school mascot suit — only to end in a perhaps predictable but still thoroughly satisfying way. Although it is family-friendly cartoons like this one that remind us sadness is always on the other side of happiness, as Linda reminds her daughter in one particularly moving scene.

In her quest to make student at Wagstaff Elementary stand up and evoke change, Tina Belcher has been on a fairy tale-like journey to become the ultimate Hall Monitor. It all comes down to one thing -- she realizes that she's not a student, but is instead a woman. And with that small epiphany, Tina is now Hall Manatee.

Bob's Burgers is the fan-favorite animated sitcom about a man, his family and their floundering burger joint. Despite the greasy counters, lousy location and occasionally spotty service, Bob and his lovable and quirky family are convinced their burgers are their ticket to success. Linda runs the front-of-the-house with unbridled enthusiasm, while her husband Bob is stuck in the kitchen. Their quirky daughters can't seem to stay out of trouble; Tina loves horses and hates boys, Gene is obsessed with music, and Louise is a master of mischief.

This week, Bob faces his self-confidence issues and enrolls in a last-minute art class to battle his self-confidence issues.

"Linda wasted no time, coming right out of the gate with the idea for the drawing wall after finding a grease-stained napkin with a fisherman on it. The family members gave Linda feedback about her artsy idea, but not before Tina’s hall-monitor senses began tingling."

Believe it or not, this idea started with a napkin! But after some feedback from her family and a special test, Linda went on to be the business owner we’ve all come to know and love.

In the middle of a meeting, Linda explains her brilliant idea for a pub drawing wall to the family members. Tina points out that this isn't the time or place for an idea like that – if they want to do it they need to do it right by meeting with the board.

With a grease-stained napkin, Linda comes up with an idea for a drawing wall in the restaurant. The family members critique Linda's idea and Tina reminds them about health and safety regulations.
